I have bought 3 "new" crankshafts from TRF over a 7 year period and two
have held up very well, the other is in an engine that hasn't been run
yet. I had them balanced and it seemed like a lot of material had to
come off, but my machinist seemed more than satisfied with their overall
quality and all the journals were in spec. and only needed polishing.
I'm far from any expert, but I believe the "new" ones are at least the
same quality as the originals.
