Rich---I've had my oil line (to the gauge) off several times over the years, including once to repair a broken connection at the block. I never thought about 'filling it' with anything, altho I don't know that it ever really emptied itself during any time it was disconnected. I would assume from this that pressure is pressure and the gauge wouldn't know the difference whether it is seeing air or oil. Gang? Dick T. |
