Peter-I think you mean mainshaft as there is no layshaft in the OD unit. The layshaft ( also called a countershaft)lives in the bottom of the mainbox, is plentifull, and cheap. The OD mainshaft on the other hand, is scarce and expensive( about $185). I think they are being reproduced in the UK and have seen them listed on e-bay with OD conversions. Perhaps someone can supply an address. Berry |
