Kevin---It's probably not fair to compare your motorcycle 'Champion'
plugs with those that I've found to work well in the TR6. That said, I
believe the heat range of any plug you use will help the engine keep
it's tune more than the brand name. If you still do not prefer the
"Champs," (N12Y-C) or some combo of those characters, ask the clerk for
a cross-referenced brand of your choice. 

In your original posting you thought that your carbs were "running rich"
and suggestions were made on possible changes that could lean out the
mix. Do you now believe the carbs had nothing to do with what you
percieved as a rich mixture?  What, if anything, did you do to the carbs
after changing out the spark plugs?
