Thank to Edwin - Dick T & Valerie S for their responses.
Conclusion is to better continue what I always did, keeping the tire
pressure around 30 psi.
Still a mistery to me is why my TR6 manual advices a lot less pressure -
also for radial tubeless tires but with the smaller width.
But what the heck, that's why it is a British car for, isn't it ?

Subject: RE: Tire pressure
In general, tire manufacturers will not recommend any tire pressure other
than what the car manufacturer recommends for liability reasons, however I
once spoke with a BFG tire engineer who admitted that tires get their best
MPG and best wear and best traction at the maximum load pressure printed on
the sidewall (ultimate traction on the autocross course is often a bit
different).
Car manufacturers recommend different pressures for noise, smooth ride, and
handling balance reasons which may be less that optimum for the tire. (good
for the car vs. good for the tire). (need I mention Firestone?)
I personally prefer the higher pressures printed on the tire.

6-packers,
how much tire pressure do you put on your 6'es ? My car is running on
205/75 tyres on the 15" rim.
In the 4 years I owe mine, I have always put more or less the same in as in
my regular car. In a new mnaual that I received recently, tire pressures
for the 185 width tires are indicated to about 1,5 kg/m2 - which is way
less than I usually did (about 2,2 kg/m2).
What do you use ?
Tx.

Bert
