Kendall-The head is stuck because of corrosion between the head and the studs, not between the gasket and head. Start by applying penetrating oil around the studs, then remove as many as possible through the use of double nuts. If the head still won't budge, try using engine compression, wedges, and the other methods Dr. T suggested. When the head is removed wire brush the studs and coat with an anti-seize compound to make it easier next time. Berry |
