I realize this is a TR6 list, but since we're all British car buffs, I
thought I'd help out a friend and tell everyone about a car he's
selling. It's....(please don't crucify me)...and MGB. It's a 1977, in
roughish shape. It runs and has a new clutch (including throwout
bearing) and resurfaced flywheel. It's not bad to look at from 50
feet, but isn't all that pretty up close. Don't know if it's got
bondo-covered-rust under it's paint, but there is quite a bit of
unevenness in the paint. The interior is okayish. The real gem of the
car is an overdrive gearbox. We didn't even know it had one until
pulling the engine and tranny last year to replace the clutch! If OD
units are as rare in MGBs as they are in TR6s, this component alone has
got to give the car some value. Let me know if anyone is interested,
and also what kind of price it can get. I think he's asking $1500.
