I want to jump on Mike's band wagon to promote the 6-PACK club.
He talked about the club's many benefits. Here is one member's perspective
of taking advantage of those benefits.
Free Classified Ads - I have my 6, but still looking for the right TR8. If
you have it, E-mail me.
Cool Regalia - Got the shirts. Our club has a Christmas party every year.
We exchange gifts in one of those give away / take away games which is
always the highlight of the evening. This stuff is great for that.
Surrogate Network - Although listed for quite a while as a participant, the
only time this kind of support has been requested by other than a local
member or prospective member was documented in the last Vintage Triumph
magazine. My good friend Sam Clark and I provided support to a gentleman in
California considering the purchase of a Spitfire in Oklahoma. The system
works even when it is not for a TR6/250.
National Car Show - Have not had the pleasure. However, there have been
initial inquiries as to whether or not our chapter would be interested in
hosting a Trials. Sure.
Quarterly Club Magazine - Have not contributed lately, but was fairly
prolific last year. Guess I shared all I knew. If you have not
contributed, you should. It makes you feel pretty good to think your stuff
can be published in a national level periodical.
E-Mail List - Read it religiously. Help out when possible.
Technical Support Archives - Sharing what you have learned may be critical
to the continued existence of the hobby. There is so much that I do not
know that having access to this tech support information is invaluable.
Please share.
Website - Kudos to Mike Brinker for making this forum possible for us.
Thanks so much, Mike. Great job.
Like Mike said, if you are a member of the club, encourage your friends
(both local and
internet) to join the 6-PACK. If you are not a member, the e-mail list is
only a part of the total club experience. Go to the 6-PACK website at
http://members.xoom.com/6Pack/ to learn how to join.
Thanks,
