After I installed the 12" fan from Moss, my car would overheat in
traffic. I NEVER had any problems with the crank-driven stock fan in hot
weather. I installed a 14" fan from Jegg's or Summit (I can't remember
which), using the wiring and switch that came from Moss and haven't had
any problems since. Look for the highest cfm airflow you can find. It
is a tight fit, but it does fit. Both of these installations are
pushers, the literature that came with the 14" fan indicated that a
puller type set-up is much better. I think you'd have to take off the
crank extension (and fit a shorter bolt to the damper?) to have any hope
of fitting a fan behind the radiator.
