Rick-The plugs&holes in the floor are a throwback to the TR2-4 cars. They used a jack that engaged a lug on the frame rail. You jacked the car from inside. Evidently, part of the floor pan was used on the later cars and the hole was retained even though a more conventional jack was used. The holes are also useful as drains for that rare occasion when the car leaks. I believe that the correct jacking points are on the frame rail, as close as possible to the corner. Berry |
