I also had the same problem with #6 and after changing the wires and checking
and resetting  the valve gaps on the rockers with a cold engine according to the
"Bentley" it disappeared along with the sluggish engine and erratic firing.
Since then I check the gaps twice a year. She purrs at idle and roars at speed,
maybe the sun will be out this weekend.
