Mike, the trim strip should snap into place. The strip should be placed over
the top of the snaps and then with your hands, firmly press and with a
downward rolling motion of your hands, it should snap into place. If you
find that it won't go, you can use a soft rubber mallet, and GENTLY tap it
into place. I hesitate to tell folks to use a hammer on anything, but I had
it happen when I replaced mine, and this technique worked very well. I guess
I just didn't have enough oomph in my hands!
