Hi everyone, here's a test for you all.
My dad has a '66 2000 which two weeks back was running very well on
unleaded 91 octane and set at 8 degrees BTDS (as standard) with no pinking
at all, then a week or so back he put some more 91 in (from the same petrol
station) and then it started pinking in every gear, under light throttle!,
so he put it down to a bad load of fuel, but when he went to retard the
timing, he found he had to 'advance' the vernier adjuster to get it
back!!!!!.
What would cause that??
