Hmmm... I can't understand why they haven't used the same chemicals in the
petrol in britain as they do here, because our "new" five star is very
gentle to the seats and valves.

In fact there were several trials here in Norway, where car owners sued the
petrol companies because the petol had seized their engines. After the
companies had claimed that their petrol was perfectly safe for older cars...

And if nothing else, the petrol companies found a recipe that worked! I
have used my car quite extensively, and I had almost no seat recession
after several years!

And additives won't ever be as effective as a chemical mix supplied by the
petrol companies, I think.

Here in Norway they use Kalium, a non-polluting agent, and it works great.
It works the same way as lead, covering the valves with a fine "spray"
making sure that the valves won't stick. At first I thought that the kalium
didn't enable the valves to get rid of the heat as efficient as lead, but I
was all wrong. I haven't been drivin my car very hard, but I have covered a
lot of kms, so...

Why couldn't they offer the same kind of petrol in Britain? Beats me...

And "My car is broke" is in french: "Ma voiture est en panne!" And you
have to remember making lots of big gestures, or they won't listen to you!
Hehehe!
