I have a Bosch pump in my PI in Perth and was advised that it needs a 10mm
feed minimum all the way from the tank to the pump. Now that is easier said
than done especially
as the Lucas filter has unionsless than 10mm as does the tank outlet.
Apparently if you can hear a
Bosch pump making noise it is not getting enough fuel even though it will
still work for a while.
I am considering fitting a anti surge tank similar to a Mk 1 PI as I get
fuel surge on very fast left hander when Sprinting
I haven't changed the PRV setting (106psi at the metering unit with the
engine running) in years
and have used a Lucas Pump and Two Bosch pumps.
The Bosch pump is from a Volvo 260 V6
