May 1976: TR7 launch in rest of the world
February 1977: First batch of pre-production TR7-V8 coupes, maybe 40 cars
October 1977: Speke Strike
Oct-Nov 1977: David Huddleson points out that the rest of TR7-V8 coupes were built at Speke during the strike, perhaps by management(!) or engineers
March 1978: Speke production resumes
May 1978: Speke closes
October 1978: Production begins at Canley
November 1978?: Production of TR8 coupe begins at Canley
July 1979: TR7 convertible launched in US
January 1980: European convertible TR7 launched
March 1980: UK convertible TR7 launched
March 1980: US TR8 press introduction
June 1980: US convertible TR8 available
Summer 1980: Production moving to Solihull
August 1980: End of production at Canley
August 1980: Production fully taken over by Solihull
October 1981: Last day for production of TR7 and TR8
